Oud Formule 1-coureur Alexander Wurz stopt helemaal met autosport. De 41-jarige coureur wil meer tijd met zijn gezin gaan door brengen en voor nieuwe uitdagingen in het leven gaan.
Wurz debuteerde in 1997 in de Formule 1 bij Benetton en reed vervolgens voor McLaren (1 race), en Williams.
Wurz reed de laatste jaren WEC voor Toyota. In 2009 wist Wurz de 24 uren van Le Mans te winnen met Peugeot.
